Dashboard Overview
Health Index:
The Health Index is a display of the top key monitoring indices to give you an at-a-glance scores for each data group. The Health Index is a grouping of all the data that has an impact on the specific Unit Operation such as Aging, Quality, and Yield. The index score is a high-level representation of the percentage of data within a single index that are within acceptable operating limits. The operating limits are recommended limits defined by ExxonMobil for your specific Unit(s). These are guidelines and can be adjusted as needed. It is important to note that the Health Index is just an indicator and it is no way a quantitative representation of the Unit health. Additional engineering analysis and judgment are required to provide a comprehensive health rating of the Unit.
Another important feature of the Health Indices is that they define the Key Performer Indicator (KPI) navigation below the main chart. You are able to click on each of the charts below and drill down from calculated values all the way to raw data to help you understand the Unit’s operation.
The default Chart shown in Area (2) is the top health index card. In the example above, it is the Aging Index. If no KPI is associated with the Health Index, the default chart is the first in alphabetical order for the current account.
Chart Display:
This is where your data is published into readable charts. The default chart is the top card of the Health Index. The chart time range can be adjusted using the bar in Area (4).
Interaction with the Chart:
- Click on a point in the map and the raw data will be outlined in blue on the data tab to the right.
- Zoom in on a narrower data window by selecting a data point and dragging the mouse cursor to another data point.
- Maximize the chart window by selecting the “Maximize” hyperlink on the bottom left. You are able to return to the normal view by clicking “Minimize”.
- Operational limits are set by ExxonMobil engineers for your specific unit. These applicable limits are displayed as red lines on the chart. The yellow lines are caution lines set at 10% of the limits. If you would like to adjust any specific limits, please email us with your request and we will work with you to evaluate.
- You can adjust the Y-axis by selecting the Customize link on the top right of the chart. This allows you to select either Auto-Scale or Auto-Scale Thresholds. Auto-Scale adjust the charts for the best viewing based on the data on the graph. The Auto-Scale Thresholds automatically adjust the chart to include the Minimum and Maximum thresholds. Leave both option unchecked to customize user specified ranges. Save the setting by press Save. Please note, the y-axis customization will apply to other charts as well.
Charts Organization:
The charts are organized in a hierarchy manner. The default chart displayed in the main chart area starts at the highest level KPI (the top card of the Health Indices). The charts below are data that precedes the main chart. In other words, these are data or calculated values that are used in calculating the KPI displayed in the main chart. Through this organization, the user can select specific KPI’s and drill down all the way to the raw data.
Alerts, Errors, Data, and Collaboration:
Alerts
Alerts are generated when a value within the chart displayed has exceeded the allowable operating limits. Please note, for data range >7 days, the daily data is aggregated and displayed as a single value. While the daily value can seem to be within the acceptable operating range, an alert will still be generated if a single value that day exceeds the operating limit.
Errors
An error is generated when there is an error with the calculation or workflow that is preventing the system from processing the data.
Data
This is the data that corresponds to the chart displayed in a numerical format along with the time stamp. If needed, a comment can be added to each specific data.
Collaboration
The collaboration feature is where all users can add notes, photos, attach reports, or links to be saved into the account. The intent of the feature is to help enhance collaboration between your team and ExxonMobil engineers. Data with collaboration comments associated are also annotated on the chart to help visually distinguish data with comments.
Collaboration Tagging
You can tag someone in a collaboration comment by typing in @ symbol and followed immediately by the user's name. This will allow a search box to display and you can select the User to tag him/her. Once you tag someone and publish the comment, the tagged person will receive an email notification.
Navigation Bar
The navigation bar helps you navigate through time, account, and KPIs.
Time Range: The time range sets the time span the data will be displayed. Under the Time Range drop-down you have the option to display data-range by: (1) Day, 7 Days, 30 Days, 60 Days, or 90 Days. If the From Last box is checked, the system will automatically defaults to the specified time range ending on the day with the last data available.
Alternatively, you can choose for a Custom or Saved date range displayed by clicking on Customize and input in the time range. In order to save a custom date range, select Saved Date Range then use the "+" sign to save a custom date range. Please note, once you save a date range, the Saved Date Range will be visible to all other users with access to the account.
- Please note to help simplify the amount of data is displayed, for time-range greater than 7 days, an aggregate of the daily average is displayed instead.
Accounts: The drop-down adjacent to the time range is the Accounts drop down, you can select which Accounts you would like to be displayed.
KPI: You are able to search for the KPI you are looking for by typing the first letter of the KPI, the drop down auto suggests KPIs.
